The development of environmentally friendly, sustainable products is the focus of our research and development departments in the fields of chemistry and cosmetics. It is our own commitment to protect the environment and actively support you in meeting the requirements of the ever-tightening legal framework in product development. Through partnerships with universities and research institutions, we leverage current scientific knowledge to sustainably advance our products. Our goal is to increasingly use renewable raw materials and primarily develop water-based resins. We are working on the following development goals and measures:

• Use of environmentally friendly (renewable) raw materials
• Development of binders with a high proportion of renewable, sustainable raw materials (> 95 percent)
• Development of water-based products instead of hydrocarbon-based ones
• Replacing aromatic solvents with aromatic-free and de-aromatized solvents, recycling and reusing solvents
• Improved durability of paints and coatings based on our binders
• Consideration of health, safety, and environmental aspects during product development and in product application

With a focus on resource conservation and energy efficiency, we continuously seek new ways to manufacture our products as environmentally friendly as possible. For instance, through plant insulation, heat recovery, and efficient drives, we have significantly reduced our energy consumption. Our thermal afterburner not only cleans the process exhaust air but also generates process heat for the production of our products through the combustion of residual materials.
